About Orbit

A local project workspace for developers on macOS, made by SpacemanCodes LTD.

Orbit brings together the work around your code. A project can hold related repositories, folders, tasks, notes, documents, uploaded assets, and useful links. You can organise that context in one place while continuing to use your preferred editor and terminal.

Built around your projects

Your workspace is stored on your Mac. Linking a source folder leaves your code where it already lives, while uploading an asset saves a copy in Orbit. Optional GitHub and GitLab connections bring repository activity into a project. Dependency inspection helps you review supported packages for updates and security advisories.

AI features are optional. Scratchpad AI can suggest actions from notes for you to review before saving. The local MCP server lets a compatible AI client read project context and make changes you request. Learn about setup and access boundaries in the Orbit developer resources.
