Free and Pro
Free includes three saved projects and all core features. Archived projects count toward the allowance, as do duplicates and imported projects. Pro is an annual subscription for unlimited projects, priority email support, future updates, and activation on three devices. See current pricing.
Open Settings → License to see the current plan and saved-project count. If you reach the Free limit, existing projects remain usable; upgrade when you need to add more.
Activate a licence
- Use the Upgrade button to open the account flow when you need a subscription.
- Obtain the licence key from your Orbit account.
- In the desktop app’s Settings → License, enter the key.
- Select Activate license and wait for verification.
After successful activation, the section shows Pro and the licence status. Do not put licence keys in project notes or share them as ordinary links.
Verify and manage your account
Use Refresh license to check your licence after changing a subscription or payment details. Manage account opens your Orbit account in the browser.
Licence settings can show the paid-through date, last verification time, offline-access deadline, and the last reported device usage. If payment needs attention, update it in your account and refresh the licence. If verification is required, reconnect to the network; your existing project content remains available.
Move or deactivate a device
Use Deactivate when retiring a machine. Normal deactivation contacts the account service to release its registered device access. It does not delete projects or cancel the subscription.
Remove local access only works offline, but the machine still counts towards your device limit. Manage registered devices through your account to free that slot.
Activating Pro on another machine does not transfer workspace content. Use export and import and transfer source code and credentials separately.
